Your Questions, Answered

We know choosing a healthcare provider is a significant decision.

Here are answers to the most common questions about how care works at It Is Well Health & Wellness.

About Our Care Model

  • We are a boutique, relationship-based wellness and aesthetics practice. We focus on proactive optimization, root cause wellness, hormone therapy, and restorative aesthetic treatments. We improve overall vitality by addressing symptoms that are often under addressed in traditional healthcare settings.

  • Traditional offices are often built for "sick visits" and insurance based billing, which results in short appointments and limited time. We are a cash-based practice. This allows us to spend more time with you, dig deeper into root causes, and create truly personalized plans without insurance restrictions.

  • We are a cash-based practice and do not accept health insurance for any of our services. Because our services are focused on elective optimization and proactive care, they are not typically covered by insurance plans. This allows us to create care plans without the limitations often imposed by insurance requirements.

However, we do accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services. Our team is happy to provide itemized receipts if needed for your records.

  • We provide proactive wellness and optimization care, but we are not a replacement for emergency care or specialty treatment. Many of our patients use us as their primary wellness provider while keeping a traditional PCP for urgent or acute needs.

Pricing & Payment

  • Pricing varies depending on the service. Initial consultations, follow up visits, lab work, and aesthetic services are all priced individually. We are happy to discuss costs during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.

  • All package and prepaid service sales are final. Once purchased, they are non-refundable and non-transferable. This policy ensures fairness and allows us to honor the resources and clinical time associated with each treatment package.

  • We offer financing through Cherry to make investing in your health more accessible. Contact us for more details. We also accept HSA and FSA cards for eligible services.

Scheduling & Visits

  • Yes! Many of our visits can be conducted via telehealth. We are currently eligible to care for patients in South Carolina and Virginia via our secure video platform.

  • Initial consultations are typically 45 minutes or longer so we have time to thoroughly review your health history. Follow up visits vary depending on the type of care.

  • Your initial consultation is about understanding your unique story. We discuss your history, concerns, and goals. From there, we create a plan which may include lab work, hormone optimization, or metabolic support.
